Model Child Abuse Protocol

The State Model Child Abuse Protocol has been created by the Georgia Child Fatality Review Panel in collaboration with the Office of the Child Advocate, The Special Investigations Unit, the Georgia Bureau of Investigations and county child abuse protocols as an instrument to assist counties with best practices towards creating efforts by all mandated agencies to investigate, treat and manage cases of child abuse and neglect.

The Model CAP was updated and revised in January 2010 with the input of many government and non-profit partners.  We encourage you to review the updated CAP and educate your local stakeholders and CAP committee members on its changes.  Please contact OCA for additional training resources.
